Vantage point

2am in the Alabama Hills , California. It was quite steep the climb to this vantage point but I thought I’d better attempt it now before I got too old and wiser not to . There was no moon so it was pitch black and the sky was bursting with radiant stars . This was my second ever Milky Way shooting night so it was still much trial and error but what an experience and loved every tired minute
